At the OLA AGM, our man of many hats,
Mitchell Martin
, was named
coach of the year.
Mitch led our U22 team To The Beaches Hogtown tournament champions, a silver medal at The Conradi-Engemann tournament in Niagara Falls. Then finishing the season with a
silver medal
at provincials this summer - a first in our association's history. Mitch was loved by his players, and we can't thank him enough for all he has done for lacrosse in the Kawarthas. Congratulations Mitch!
Kawartha's own
Riley Finn
has been named the recipient of the
Centennial Award
, as the best goaltender in U22. He posted a mind-blowing GAA of 1.80 (in lacrosse?!?!) and was an iron man, backing his team in every single game of the season for a record of 18-8-1 and also adding 10 assists along the way. Congratulations Riley!
